Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"If you are looking for beautiful and luxurious accommodation in Sidemen, THIS IS THE PLACE. It is located in the middle of a picturesque rice field, with a good view of the mountains and the sunset. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. There is also a hairdryer in the room, and a bathtub in the bathroom. The family of the accommodation is kind and friendly, and they also have a restaurant there, whose menu is simple, but incredibly tasty and affordable. The place is not located in the center of Sidemen, but it is absolutely top-notch. The accommodation's "guide" the white duck is also friendly and showed us around the house beautifully. It is also possible to rent a scooter, order a transfer to the desired places, either directly from the owner of the house, or through his partners. We were extremely satisfied with the visit, and since we found the place through a recommendation, I am now sharing this good news more widely here."
"Delicious tasty fried noodles with chicken and fried egg served on banana leaf. The pisang goreng was awesome and sweet. Fresh pineapple juice also great. Definitely in my top 3 after two weeks in Bali. It’s located next to the road but the traffic noise wasn’t too bad. I was happily distracted by the magnificent view on the other side of the restaurant Very friendly staff."
"I don't know how you can give this anything other than five stars! The food is delicious, the service was lovely, the prices are more than fair, and it sits right on the rice fields so it's very quiet and calm. I'm only here for two nights but I'm going back tomorrow too"
"We had fried rice with tofu and vegetables as well as fried rice with chicken – both were super delicious! For dessert, we had pancakes, which were also really good. The owners were incredibly friendly, and we felt very welcome and comfortable. Absolutely recommended!"
"The villa owner took me to this small, family-run local restaurant near where I’m staying, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The food is hands down some of the best Balinese dishes I’ve ever had. Their gado-gado is absolutely to die for—so good that I asked for a second serving of the sauce! The flavors are rich, fresh, and beautifully balanced. While the menu isn’t huge, they offer great vegetarian options, and they do them really well. Most meals are around IDR 40,000, which makes it super affordable! I also fell in love with their lemongrass tea—refreshing, aromatic, and the perfect complement to the meal. Thank you to the lovely family for your friendly service and delicious meals. This place truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!"
"Great food, fresh ingredients, super friendly staff. It can accommodate around 20 people at once. Prices are more than fair. Waiting times around 5-10 minutes. Very peaceful, and relaxing. Ayam Be Tu Tu, and Gado Gado, are must have if you visit, and I'll visit again for sure"
"Warung Tirda Unda is a great place to enjoy authentic local cooking and heartfelt service. My meal was full of flavour, generously portioned, and clearly prepared with great care. I would gladly return, especially for another helping of their yummy dadar gulung (traditional coconut pancake)."
"A beautiful, family run local warung that we would 100% recommend! We visited on our first evening in Sidemen after looking at the reviews and menu. I had a vegetable noodle soup & my fiancé had lemongrass chicken with rice. Both meals were absolutely beautiful & the staff were super attentive & friendly. We also thoroughly enjoyed our fresh juices, watermelon & pineapple. Support local, they’re always so grateful for you coming & enjoying their food Thank you for having us!"
